Everyone remembers their wild travelling trips that took them in this weird rabbit hole and changed them overnight. We take our Go Pros around and feel like a vagabond living their own lives, but we have our own troubles back home.

So, here’s to all the girls who are looking to get away for a weekend, a month or even 6 months? We all crave to be a travel bug, wanting to explore these hidden caves and surf in gigantic waves.

So how do these female travellers who travel full time make it look oh so easy, fun and enjoyable? Well I have been reading a lot of backpacking/ travel blogs during quarantine (honestly all of us) and compiled what I have learnt in a list :

  1. Flick through a travel magazine and just pick a place — Overthinking kills so many plans. And being lazy is not an option. So, if you have the urge to travel somewhere (even in a local place) — you might never know what you might find there!
  2. Be mindful of your expenses (but also take an extra credit card) — Its important to plan a budget wherever you take a vacation to. If you have already set up travel expenses 30% from your income, that’s a better way to start.
  3. You’ll make friends along the way — my experience of travelling through Airlie Beach, Queensland and Heart of the Reef made me great friends from Germany, Netherlands, Holland. Just be bold and you’ll do great!
  4. Take loads of pictures — Yes, fill that camera up with juicy photos and memories that will stay with you until you turn 70! I remember taking my Go-pro to capture underwater photos and regret not charging it up right when we spotted huge clownfish!
  5. Carry a small pack — Its ok to wear the same clothes most of the days , the key is to pack small so you could go long distances!
  6. Be open to new adventures — Just say yes to new places, new food, new culture, you ll be surprised to see what you have in store for you!
